About Nova Glamping

Experience Nova Scotia’s Coastal Beauty from your own Private Island Oasis

Our Story

Nova Glamping began as a passion project inspired by our love for nature, community, and the rugged beauty of Nova Scotia’s South Shore. After calling this province home for nearly a decade, we wanted to create a space that celebrated everything we cherish here—fresh ocean air, welcoming people, wild coastlines, and unforgettable sunsets.

Four years later, Nova Glamping has grown into more than just a getaway, it’s a private island retreat that evolves every season. What started as a dream has become a full experience: cozy domes, a rustic wood cabin, wood-fired hot tubs, a cedar sauna, and even some friendly island goats. Each year, we add something new to make your stay even more special.

Whether you're a local looking to escape the city or a visitor discovering Nova Scotia for the first time, Nova Glamping offers a one-of-a-kind way to reconnect with nature and yourself.

Our Location

Nova Glamping is just 35 minutes from downtown Halifax, offering the perfect balance between peaceful seclusion and easy access to city life. Tucked away on Simmons Island, a private island in West Dover, our retreat is accessible only by water—via our own pontoon boat departing from 159 West Dover Rd.

We’re also just minutes from Peggy’s Cove, one of Nova Scotia’s most iconic coastal destinations. Famous for its lighthouse, rugged granite coastline, and charming fishing village atmosphere, Peggy’s Cove is a must-see on the South Shore.

Whether you're unwinding on the island or exploring the surrounding beauty, Nova Glamping places you in the heart of Nova Scotia’s wild and welcoming coast.
